Shadrack’s Christmas Village

Not everything Christmas in the Smoky Mountains comes from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge – one of our absolute favorite Christmas traditions of this millenium is the Winterfest seasonal pop-up Shadrack’s Christmas Village at the far end of Sevier County on Highway 66 from Sevierville, TN to Kodak, TN. Shadrack’s Christmas Village is an attraction that has been set up at Smokies’ Stadium from 2009 to 2022 and from 2023 on at Soaky Mountain Waterpark during its off-season; it is a “drive-thru” Christmas lights event and Christmas village that offers state-of-the-art synchronized Christmas light shows and displays as well as possible additional Christmas fare like a Santa-and-elves village, food and snacks, music and more.

Shadrack’s website writes the following:
“Welcome to Shadrack’s Christmas Wonderland! You may wonder, why go to such great lengths to create an attraction of this magnitude? It’s simple; we uncovered a passion and followed our dreams. After physically crafting each element, placing and bracing them, tediously programming hundreds of thousands of lights to perform with music, we managed to light up the nights!

There are thousands of channels simultaneously directing this orchestra of lights. Using the most technologically advanced equipment in the industry, Christmas Wonderland magically expresses what Christmas means to us. Our hope is for this show to spark a smile on your face like it does ours.

Come see the all-new gigantic RGB field of lights featuring a 50’ RGB Christmas tree of lights nestled in the center. Also, the new Classic Christmas displays, where traditional scenes meet emojis, are sure to delight! Although we won’t be at Smokies Stadium in future years, we’ve opened a new show with a new format nearby starting this year and continuing on. Our new show at Soaky Mountain Waterpark is unlike anything we’ve ever done before. We describe it as a drive through storybook combining larger-than-life illustrated art with lights, music, and special effects!
